Entertainment Executive Tanya Cohen Takes Helm at Made By Us Studios
In a significant development for the entertainment industry, Tanya Cohen officially departed Range Media Partners on May 6, 2026, to accept a leadership position at Made By Us Studios (MBU). Cohen will serve as co-CEO, collaborating with Leanne Perice, the founder and CEO of Made By All (MBA), which provides backing for MBU. Nic Stanish will assume the role of president of production. Cohen, who initially joined Range Media Partners in 2021, brings a wealth of experience, having started her career at Paradigm, followed by a tenure at Verve, and eventually becoming a partner in the lit department at WME in 2019. Her extensive background in talent management and content development positions her to drive MBU's mission of transforming the creator landscape. The studio is envisioned as a "Hollywood-grade studio" tailored for an era where creators function as comprehensive media enterprises. MBU plans to collaborate closely with MBA's top content creators, who collectively command an audience of 1.5 billion followers across various platforms, ensuring creators are central to value creation and intellectual property. Rich Cook, a founding partner at Range, expressed enthusiasm for continued collaboration with Cohen in her new capacity, recognizing her discerning taste and passion for storytelling. MBU's legal representation is handled by Ken Funahashi of DLA Piper.
This appointment signals a profound evolution in the entertainment sector, where traditional models are being reshaped by the rising influence of individual creators. The establishment of Made By Us Studios, under the joint leadership of Tanya Cohen and Leanne Perice, represents a forward-thinking approach to content production and monetization. By empowering creators with greater ownership and control, MBU could foster a more equitable and innovative environment for talent, ultimately leading to diverse and engaging content. This move not only highlights the growing power of the creator economy but also underscores the industry's adaptation to new forms of media and audience engagement.
