This marks the third German city, following successful runs in Münster and Nuremberg, to host this unique spectacle, a joint effort with the French creative team Lotchi, a division of Banijay Live. Scheduled to commence on July 2nd, the event promises to transform the iconic church into a mesmerizing fusion of illumination, auditory design, and historical storytelling.

Since its inception in 2023, 'Luminiscence' has garnered immense popularity, drawing over a million attendees worldwide. The experience has toured more than 20 cities across eight countries, including France, Spain, the U.K., Netherlands, Belgium, Brazil, and the U.S., revitalizing cathedrals, churches, and other historical sites with its innovative approach. This global success underscores Banijay Group's strategic diversification beyond traditional television content into the burgeoning live events and sports sectors, a move that has significantly contributed to its impressive 18.2% growth in live experiences and other segments last year, amounting to 397 million euros.

The Hamburg installation at St. Michaelis will leverage cutting-edge 360-degree projection technology, dynamic lighting, bespoke musical compositions, and live performances by local artists. The ensemble will feature the vocalist Lucia Duchoňová and organists Magne H. Draagen and Paul Fasang, enriching the experience with their talents.
